Welcome to Sudbury/Nipissing District 3 of OSGA 55+!
We are thrilled to announce that the City of Greater Sudbury has been chosen to host the Ontario Senior Games Association 55+ Provincial Summer Games! From August 5 to August 7, 2025, our City will welcome over 1000 athletes from across the Province, competing in a celebration of skill, spirit, and sportsmanship.
As the proud Host District, we want these Games to be unforgettable—full of energy, camaraderie, and excitement. To make this happen, we need your help!
Join Us in Rejuvenating Our District! We’re actively seeking volunteers to join our District Committee. This is your chance to: Support and promote active living for adults 55+ Help create an event that will leave a lasting impression on participants and visitors alike Be part of a vibrant team dedicated to making these Games a huge success
Whether you’re passionate about organizing, coordinating, or simply lending a hand, your contribution matters. These Games offer our local seniors the chance to compete, connect, and celebrate through friendly competition—an experience that many will carry with them for years to come.

District 3 Games update
March 13 update from District 3 Coordinator
Registration for membership and some events should open April. Current members should receive an email reminder with a link.
Neil Lind will be stepping in to replace the previous convener of the District Tennis Qualifier.

We have had some promising leads to hold events in Pickleball, Euchre,Bowling, Bocce, to name just a few. The word is getting out and the buzz is happening. If you or someone you know would like to get more info on running an event, please contact ASAP. Closing date for hosting activities is fast approaching

OSGA 55+ SUMMER GAMES WILL BE IN SUDBURY AUGUST 5-7, 2025
Listed below are some activities that are eligible for OSGA 55+ Summer Games. District 3 Sudbury/Nipissing may not be able to run qualifying events in all these activities. However, we will update the active events list as information becomes available so that you may register. WHO CAN PLAY?
Participant Eligibility
1. To be eligible to participate in OSGA 55+ events you must be a resident of Ontario, a current member of the organization (April 1st to March 31st) and must be of age (55+, 65+, 75+, etc.) or older by midnight December 31st in the year of competition.
2. Participants must limit their competition to one District (based on their residency called their “Home District”) for each set of Games (summer or winter) with the exception is participants may register in a District that borders your “Home District” to play with a partner/team and/or event(s) availability. Districts accepting participants from outside their District must confirm with the participants “Home District” they are eligible.
3. Participants may only represent the District in which they participated in and qualified for to compete at the Regional and/or Ontario 55+ Games with priority to be given to the winners of your District Games in order of how they finish based on their desire to move on to the next level.
4. Participants may enter more than one event/category at the District level at the discretion of the District Committee.
